We are looking for Commis (Kitchen) to support daily food preparation and kitchen operations. This role is ideal for individuals who are disciplined, eager to learn, and committed to maintaining high standards of hygiene, food quality, and teamwork in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities & Expected Behaviours:

• Assist in daily food preparation according to standard recipes and chef instructions
• Prepare ingredients such as vegetables, sauces, marinades, and basic mise-en-place
• Follow cooking procedures, portion control, and presentation standards consistently
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of kitchen workstations, equipment, and storage areas
• Demonstrate punctuality, discipline, and respect for kitchen hierarchy and instructions
• Work efficiently during service hours while maintaining quality and safety standards
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and health regulations at all times
• Properly handle, store, and label food items as per FIFO and hygiene standards
• Support senior chefs during service and assist with plating when required
• Communicate clearly with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations
• Accept feedback positively and show willingness to learn and improve skills
• Assist in cleaning duties, opening, and closing kitchen procedures

Requirements:

• Minimum 1–2 years of experience as Commis or Kitchen Assistant preferred
• Basic knowledge of kitchen operations and food preparation techniques
• Understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
• Basic English communication skills required
