Job description:

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Kitchen Equipment Technician to join our service team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing a wide variety of commercial food service and refrigeration equipment. Your primary goal will be to minimize downtime for our clients by providing fast, high-quality, and safe repair solutions. If you are a hands-on problem solver with a strong background in electrical, mechanical, or refrigeration systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and Repair: Troubleshoot and fix issues on hot-side equipment (ovens, fryers, grills) and cold-side equipment (walk-in coolers, freezers, ice machines).
  • Preventive Maintenance: Perform scheduled tune-ups, cleaning, and component replacements to prevent equipment failure.
  • System Troubleshooting: Read schematics to diagnose complex electrical circuits, gas lines, plumbing connections, and electronic controls.
  • Customer Service: Interact professionally with kitchen managers and chefs, explaining technical issues and repair timelines clearly.
  • Safety & Compliance: Ensure all repairs meet local gas, electrical, plumbing, and health department safety codes.
  • Documentation: Accurately log work orders, parts used, and time spent on each job using our digital tracking system.

Job Requirements

  • Experience: 2+ years of hands-on experience repairing commercial kitchen or HVAC/R equipment.
  • Technical Skills: Strong understanding of electrical circuits, gas combustion systems,
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a vocational or technical trade school program is highly preferred.
  • Driver's License: Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (for driving company service vehicles).

SFC Group is looking for a structured and proactive Engineering / Projects & Maintenance Coordinator to support engineering projects and coordinate maintenance activities across multiple sites. The role requires strong coordination skills, document control discipline, and systematic tracking of maintenance records to ensure smooth operations and compliance.


Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate day-to-day engineering and project-related activities across multiple SFC Group sites.
  • Support Engineering / Projects Manager in planning, tracking, and execution of projects.
  • Maintain complete control of all project documentation including drawings, RFIs, submittals, approvals, BOQs, contracts, and correspondence.
  • Ensure proper document version control, timely circulation, and approval tracking.
  • Prepare and maintain trackers for project timelines, drawings, approvals, RFIs, and deliverables.
  • Schedule project and maintenance meetings, prepare agendas, record minutes of meetings (MoM), and follow up on action items.
  • Coordinate planned and reactive maintenance activities with site teams, vendors, and contractors.
  • Maintain and update maintenance records, logs, and service reports across all sites, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Track preventive maintenance schedules and follow up on compliance and closure.
  • Coordinate vendor access, site inspections, and maintenance-related approvals.
  • Support audits, inspections, and compliance requirements by ensuring maintenance and engineering records are up to date.
  • Assist in project close-out documentation, asset records, and handover files.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or related field
  • 2–5 years of experience in engineering coordination, project coordination, or maintenance coordination
  • Experience handling multi-site maintenance records and documentation is essential
  • Exposure to construction, hospitality, QSR, or facilities management environments preferred
  • Proficiency in MS Office; experience with CMMS or document management systems is an advantage
